i am…

an alcoholic, but I don’t drink alcohol.

an addict, but I don’t do “conventional” drugs.

I have addictions. I crave certain things. I succumb to my cravings, and I sin. After which, I feel completely unsatisfied.

That’s the problem with sin. It convinces you that what you desire will quench your thirst, but it only leaves you even more thirsty.

13Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 14but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” John 4:13-14
